What does GIF Stack do?

It arranges multiple GIFs vertically into one tall animation, with all sources playing at the same time.

How is this different from GIF Merge?

GIF Merge plays GIFs one after another (sequentially). GIF Stack plays them simultaneously, stacked on top of each other.

What happens if the GIFs have different lengths?

Shorter GIFs loop to fill the duration of the longest GIF, so all sources keep animating for the full output.

Do the source GIFs need to be the same width?

No. Each GIF is automatically scaled to match a common width while preserving its aspect ratio.

How many GIFs can I stack at once?

Several GIFs at a time — enough for most vertical stacks, while keeping output height and browser memory usage reasonable.

Is my original GIF modified?

No. A new combined GIF is created in your browser. All source files remain unchanged.

Will the output GIF file be large?

It can be, since the canvas height grows with every GIF you add. For social sharing, we recommend stacking 2-3 GIFs and keeping source files reasonably small.

Can I remove a GIF after uploading it?

Yes, click the X icon on any thumbnail in the upload list to remove it before stacking. You can also add more GIFs afterward as long as you're under the limit.

Why do shorter GIFs repeat while longer ones don't?

All sources are synced to a shared timeline based on the longest GIF. Shorter GIFs loop automatically to keep animating for the full duration, so nothing appears frozen.

Does the order I upload GIFs matter?

Yes, GIFs are arranged top to bottom in the order you upload them. You can remove and re-add a GIF to change its position before stacking.
