What does GIF Merge do?

It combines multiple GIF files by appending their frames sequentially, creating one longer animation.

How many GIFs can I merge at once?

There is no hard limit, but merging many large GIFs may require significant browser memory. We recommend merging up to 10 GIFs at a time.

Do merged GIFs need to be the same size?

No, but mismatched sizes will result in inconsistent framing. For best results, resize all GIFs to the same dimensions first.

Can I reorder GIFs before merging?

Yes. Drag and drop GIF thumbnails to set the order before combining.

What happens to frame delays when merging?

Each GIF's frame delays are preserved. If GIFs have different speeds, the combined animation will reflect those differences segment by segment.

Will the merged GIF loop infinitely?

Yes, by default. You can change the loop setting after merging using the GIF Loop tool.

Does merging increase file size?

Yes. The merged file contains all frames from all source GIFs, so its size is approximately the sum of the source files.

Can I merge a GIF with a static image?

Convert the static image to a single-frame GIF first using Images to GIF, then merge it with your target GIF.

Is my original GIF modified during merge?

No. New combined GIF is created in your browser. All source files remain unchanged.

Can I merge GIFs side by side instead of sequentially?

Sequential (end-to-end) merging is supported. Side-by-side layout is not yet available but may be added in a future update.
