What filters are available?

Seven filters: Original (no change), Grayscale, Sepia, Vintage, Invert, Cool (blue tint), and Warm (orange tint).

How are filters applied?

Filters are applied pixel-by-pixel using the HTML5 Canvas API's ImageData, modifying RGB values mathematically for each pixel in every frame.

Can I preview the filter before applying it?

Yes. The first frame of the GIF is shown as a live preview when you click each filter button, so you can compare before committing.

Are filters applied to all frames?

Yes. The selected filter is applied to every frame in the animation.

Can I adjust the filter intensity?

Currently filters are applied at full intensity. Adjustable strength (e.g., 50% grayscale) may be added in a future update.

Can I combine multiple filters?

Apply the tool once to get a filtered GIF, then re-upload that result to layer a second filter on top.

Will the filter change the file size?

Re-encoding is required. Grayscale filters often reduce file size since fewer unique colors are used. Other filters have minimal effect.

What does the Vintage filter do?

Vintage applies a warm brownish-yellow tint with boosted red and reduced blue channels, simulating the look of aged analog photographs.

What does the Cool filter do?

Cool shifts colors toward blue by reducing red slightly and boosting blue, creating a cold, cinematic tone.

Is my original GIF modified?

No. A new filtered GIF is created in your browser. Your original file is not changed.
